“Blake was a special young man. It was easy to recognize this from the first time I met him as a young high school athlete. It has been an honor and a privilege to get to know him on so many different levels over the past several years. I’ve watched him mature and grow in so many ways and I am proud of the young man he became.

When I think of Blake, two words come to mind: Passionate and hardworking. It did not matter what Blake did, he did it with passion. Sports, Sales, you name it — he did not do anything without genuine effort. His work ethic allowed him to be successful in any endeavor he put his mind to.

There was nothing, however, that Blake was more passionate about than his family. In our many one-on-one meetings it was evident that all things centered around family and he shared often how much you all meant to him.

Jeff, there was never anything Blake wanted more in life than to make you proud. I hope someday my son will light up the same way that Blake would when talking about you.”
