Supporting our Local Fellowship of Christian Athletes in 2021

We are pleased to share that the Blake Cowden Leadership Foundation (BCLF) is able to further Blake’s legacy by supporting the importance of leadership and character building in our schools by awarding a $1,000 donation to our local Fellowship of Christian Athletes organization in support of their Leadership Camp. The FCA Leadership Camps are for student athletes and focus on teaching both practical skills for Christian growth as well as teaching leadership skills from a Christian perspective. You can read more about these camps at www.fcacamps.org.

Additionally, we are excited to continue our support of the Young Leaders in Action (YLIA) program of Macon County by awarding a $1,000 donation to this amazing organization. The YLIA group is comprised of 98 youth from 10 Macon County High Schools.  These young leaders seek impactful volunteer opportunities that allow them to “be the change” within their community.  They have been on the front line empowering people of all ages from distributing backpacks filled with school supplies, packing Thanksgiving food boxes, to working with senior centers. You can read more about this program and its leaders by visiting their Facebook page @YLIACFMC.

Tri Valley High School will start their Leadership Development class next semester.  BCLF has partnered with the High School in support of this exciting new Leadership curriculum.  We are thrilled that there are 36 young people signed up for participation in this class beginning in January.
